Job Description:
The Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) – will transform travel across the city, boosting the economy by billions of pounds and supporting thousands of new jobs and homes. The line, currently being constructed by Crossrail, will be named after the UK’s longest serving monarch when it becomes operational. Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) part of Transport for London (TfL) will be responsible as Landlord / Infrastructure Manager for central section stations, the tunnel environment, shafts, portals and a number of surface stations. In readiness for the phased opening of this prestigious railway, we are seeking to recruit in a highly skilled dynamic maintenance team to take us into operation, and beyond.
Job Responsibilities:
- Initially, the Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician will assist the Principal Maintenance Delivery Technician (PMDT) and the Discipline Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer (DIME) ensuring that the new Elizabeth Line railway can be brought into service and be maintained safely, efficiently and effectively delivering defined by the Elizabeth Line performance requirements.
- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Technician to join the Elizabeth line prior to commencement ensuring the successful delivery and running of London’s newest railway.
- The Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician (SMDT) is responsible for the delivery of safety of line inspections, asset monitoring, maintenance, like for like renewal and enhancements works. This will include asset fault response, infrastructure inspection, asset data management and the safe delivery of reliability centred maintenance tasks.
- Upon introduction of the Elizabeth Line into operation, the Senior Tech will assist the Principal Maintenance Delivery Technician and Discipline Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer in their responsibilities for the safety critical deployment and tactical direction of the maintenance teams with technical decision authority and execution of maintenance engineering stewardship plans as part of cross functional teams.
Job Requirements:
- Level 3 Award in Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018.
- Familiar with functions of plant room control panels.
- Undertake Installation, Maintenance, Modification and Repair of User Control and Network Devices Subsystems (DALI)
- Or JIB Graded Approved Electrician in Installation and/or Maintenance.
- Appreciation of Reliability Based Maintenance/Condition Based Maintenance.
- Minimum of Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electro technical Services (Electrical Maintenance) (2357-23) or equivalent
- Undertake Installation, Maintenance, Modification and Repair of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Knowledge of railway systems and related engineering disciplines.
